DesoFace Love Cosmedical contraindications

• Pregnancy / Breastfeeding
• Infection of the treated area
• Inflammation of the treated area
• Moderate kidney / liver disease
• Allergies to lidocaine and sodium deoxycholate
• Blood clotting disorders
• Immunosuppression due to illness or medication

Other so-called relative contraindications: excessive skin laxity, body dysmorphia.

Unwanted side effects

• Prolonged pain for several days or weeks
• Swelling
• Bruises
• Infection (cross-contamination)

Rare complications include:

• Usually temporary depigmentation < (0.002%) – avoid UV exposure.
• Allergy < (0.002%) which may require emergency treatment
• Damage to surrounding structures < (0.05%), including nerves, muscles and blood vessels
• Nodules < (0.05%) are usually transient and disappear when the fat tissue is removed
