Teosyal 30G Global Action

Teosyal Global Action is an injectable dermal filler that is comprised of a non-pyrogenic, transparent, viscoelastic gel of hyaluronic acid. Manufactured in Switzerland by Teoxane Laboratories, Teosyal Global Action is used to restore volume to the skin, fill depressions, smooth wrinkles, and hydrate the dermis.

The non-animal hyaluronic acid in this product is highly biocompatible, making for better patient tolerability. Additionally, it offers immediate and long-lasting results due to its unique capacity to absorb and hold moisture.

Each box of Teosyal Global Action contains 2 prefilled 1mL syringes, 4 sterile 30G½” needles, and 2 traceability labels. This sterile package is fragile, and should be stored away from direct sunlight and between temperatures of 2 and 25°C.

WHAT IS IT USED FOR?

Teosyal Global Action is recommended for the correction of moderate facial lines and wrinkles, including the glabella lines, perioral wrinkles, moderate nasolabial folds, and cutaneous depressions.

HOW DOES THIS DERMAL FILLER WORK?

As a result of the ageing process, exposure to the sun, smoking, and other environmental damages, the hyaluronic acid that is naturally produced in the body starts to diminish. As a result, the skin’s natural moisture and underlying structure is lost, causing it to dry out, loosen, and sag. This triggers the formation of wrinkles and skin folds, making glabellar and nasolabial lines more prominent.

With the injection of Teosyal Global Action, this lost hyaluronic acid is replaced, working to refresh and plump the skin. This leads to a smoother and tighter complexion, adding youth back into aged features.

HOW TO INJECT

In order to ensure patient safety, only licensed medical practitioners may perform injections with Teosyal Global Action. Additionally, the injector should have an understanding of facial anatomy, as well as a comprehension of required injection techniques.

Before beginning the injection process, correction sites must be properly disinfected. Also, it is advised to perform these injections using the needle provided in the box. To assemble the needle, see the instructions included in the product label.

Teosyal Global Action should be injected slowly into the mid dermis with a linear threading technique. Please note that If the injection is made too deep into the dermis, its effects will not be visible, while too shallow of an injection may create irregular corrections and blanching of the skin.

While the volume of gel to be injected into the skin depends on the level of correction required, no patient receives more than 3mL per session. Do not overcorrect the area. To ensure that the gel is distributed properly along the surrounding tissue, perform a light massage at the injection site.

Often, this procedure causes minimal or no pain. However, depending on the patient’s needs, an anaesthetic ointment may be applied 30 minutes prior to the procedure. The procedure itself may take up to 30 minutes, depending on how many facial areas are being treated.

Once completed, remind the patient not to use makeup for 12 hours after treatment. They should also avoid extreme temperatures for 1 week after receiving their injections. At the end of session, discard all remaining unused product and any needles.

HOW LONG DOES THIS FACIAL FILLER LAST?

On average, the results from the Teosyal Global Action treatment last between 6 and 9 months. However, this depends on the areas that are being treated, as well as the patient’s age and lifestyle. Most importantly, the product’s longevity depends on the correct placement of the product.

The effects of this procedure are visible immediately following injection. In order to maintain results, a top up treatment will be required around 6 to 9 months after the initial appointment.

IS THIS PRODUCT SAFE?

While Teosyal Global Action is a safe cosmetic filler, certain individuals should avoid the use of this product. These include patients with cutaneous disorders, inflammation or infection at the treatment site, and autoimmune disease. Please note that this treatment is not suitable for pregnant women, women who are breastfeeding, children, and patients with an allergy to hyaluronic acid.

TEOSYAL GLOBAL ACTION SIDE EFFECTS

Although most patients do not experience side effects after treatment with Teosyal Global Action, some individuals may have minor reactions at the injection site. However, these should be resolved within 7 days of treatment.

COMMON SIDE EFFECTS:

• Erythema (redness)
• Swelling
• Pain at the injection site
• Itching
• Temporary loss of sensitivity

SEVERE SIDE EFFECTS:

• Haematoma
• Dyschromia
• Skin necrosis
• Migration of the implant
• Indurations
• Nodules (possibly granulomas)
• Abscesses
• Hypersensitivity
• Allergic reaction

If any severe side effects are experienced, patients must seek immediate medical attention.

WHAT IS IT MADE OF?

Teosyal Global Action is a viscoelastic, non-pyrogenic, transparent gel that is made of stabilized hyaluronic acid of non-animal origin.

Hyaluronic acid naturally occurs in the body, and is found predominantly in the skin and joints. At the cellular level, it works to keep the joints and skin lubricated and moisturised, due to its innate ability to retain water molecules. However, as the body ages, the body’s hyaluronic acid content depletes, leaving the cells struggling to stay hydrated. With this, the skin becomes dry and loose, and wrinkles and folds begin to appear.
